What have you learned from your audience feedback?

I’d just like to say that audience feedback is a vital part of putting together any product. The audience and the intended targets are what makes a product so demanding. Here are a few videos of some questions I asked my intended target audience…

[Play feedback]

I think this type of feedback is extremely important, if I was ever in this situation I will know what I did right and things that I can improve on. As you can see from a few of the videos I included, the responses were generally quite good. This is usually the point when companies give music videos and films the green light, when at least 90% of the viewers enjoyed the products. Although the feedback we received was from a specific audience of teenagers aged 16-19, this was roughly our intended target audience so getting information about the videos from other sources such as adults and children would be pretty much irrelevant.

The song we had chosen for our music video was Heavy-D nuttin’ but love. We chose this song and tried to put a more modern take on the song as the song was originally quite old.

When we released the almost finished music video to the rest of my class, I found that the feedback I received was all extremely positive and encouraging for our first ever music video. When asked what their favourite part of the video was they all said the fact that the video was well edited and extremely entertaining.

The main target for the video was the fact that people would easily be able to understand the overall story. The story is about a man liking a girl and constantly chasing after her, but she really isn’t interested in the young man.
